Water Harvesting from Air: Current Passive Approaches and Outlook

چکیده

In the context of global water scarcity, vapor available in air is a non-negligible supplementary fresh resource. Current and potential energetically passive procedures for improving atmospheric harvesting (AWH) capabilities involve different strategies dedicated materials, which are reviewed this paper, from perspective morphology wettability optimization, substrate cooling, sorbent assistance. The advantages limitations AWH respectively discussed, as well their performance. various applications based on advanced technologies also demonstrated. A prospective concept multifunctional panel promising cooling material, inspired by silicon-based solar energy panels, finally proposed with brief outlook its challenges.
